- Dai is a herder from Wynfall City. His grandfather helped breed the Urych and keeping the herd has been passed down through the family.
He sends his mother most of his earnings and profits from selling cattle, keeping only what's necessary to comfortably tend to his family.
His mother does her best to keep her family well dressed, despite the fact Dai prefers the simplest clothing he can manage.
During his first trip back to Wynfall after his father died he came across the Heyen Clan, where he met Zihna. She helped him nurse an injured Urych back to health and he saw to it their paths crossed each year after that. Before long they married with the clan's blessings.
