Farkas Tait is a scout who must routinely patrol the Austmont territory and inform the clan of any encroaching settlements from species they do not wish to cohabitate with, chiefly humans and hobgoblins. While he does consider most non-kurach creatures to be inferior, he enjoys watching and studying them, and sometimes will engage them in friendly conversation or accept challenges. The humans consider the kurach to be forest demons, an illusion he makes no attempt to dispel, and revels in to a certain degree.
