A dancer in Ila-tyaq port in Mruha. Shalu used to work as a barmaid in one of the pubs until Dawson suggested she take to dancing. Second only to swimming, dancing is a passion of her people and she was very flattered that he thought so highly of her performance. Shalu became known as Scarlet Dancer because of her preference of long, red dresses.
Her greatest desire was to nest and have a mate. The one she chose was believed to be the most unobtainable of her suitors, but as the saying goes, love finds a way. Or in her case, stubborness and luck. Shalu became the mother of Rangi not long after claiming her mate.
