Time to Talk
Inside his cabin, the Captain Morgan was writing letters by candlelight, lost in thought. It was a rare, peaceful moment, with just the steady lap of water against the hull and the scritch, scritch of the pen across the paper. There was a knock at his door that interrupted his quiet and a familiar little head popped in.
"Hi!" Shanku chirped.
Morgan stopped his writing and glared at her for a few moments. "What do you want?" he asked gruffly.
"Long day?" Shanku ventured in a friendly manner. She was met with another cold glare. I'll take that as a "yes".
Shanku had gotten it into her head to fix Dawson and Shalu's problem, but at this point it was hard to say if she would fix it or just make it so much worse.

Time to Talk
It's not fun being on the receiving end of THOSE kind of glares. *shudder* These two have never been shown really interacting before.
Thus ends the ninth chapter. Lost track of what page I was on, so this scene will be continued in the tenth.
Today also marks two whole years that Just Another Day has been online. Wow... Two years ago I was single and at home, bored out of my head and passing time with the comic. Now I've got one year left of school, I'm married, and I have a baby on the way. Daggum. Well, I reckon in honor of two years, Shanku is being her little conniving self, just like when she first met Dai outside of the Nyre.
Chapter Notes:
This was a very problematic chapter. Even though I did run out of script during this chapter, it wasn't a major problem. The problems came in the form of Windows being... well, Windows. Viruses galore! With my anti-virus up-to-date to boot at that.
Here's to better luck next time!
