Guardians

"There is great unrest in the forest," spoke the great woodland fae, Eirayna. "And I fear it will escalate even further if something is not done. We need a solution to this problem, and quickly."

"It wasn't my idea to give them two bodies and two minds," Hesperos the faun guardian glared at a fluttering fairy nearby.

"You would if you'd ever have interesting ideas," Pavla retorted.

"What's done is done and cannot be undone. How do we address the issues at hand?" Eyrayna asked.

"That anger will not simply vanish overnight," Pavla shrugged. "Nor will it go away quietly. Find a way for them to refocus their anger to something else."

"And what would you propose?" Eirayna asked.

"A fight," Kyros suggested.

"Haven't they done enough of that lately?" grumbled Hesperos.

"A more controlled fight," Kyros explained. "Like they used to do, long ago in that one grove. Where they'd put forth their best warriors to settle disputes for them."

"It could work," Eirayna nodded. "If they can agree to it."

"They will agree," said a shadowy figure forming nearby. "Just as they haven't forgotten the pleasure of the hunt, they haven't forgotten the thrill of a good test of skill and mettle."

"Good to see you, Kleu," Eirayna nodded.

Guardians

Why are dryads and tree nymphs often shown with just two arms and two legs? How many trees have you seen with just two limbs and two roots?

In case anybody has forgotten, the faun on the right is the same faun that looked after Shanku and Rhett way back in chapter four and five. =P

Happy birthday, Little Mischief! It's your last year to be an only child. :)

Might as well officially announce it. Little Mischief is going to be a big brother.

And it WILL be born at home this time. I'm not going through what I did at the hospital again. I am already getting SO MUCH hostility and hateful messages from what few people know in person. My mental health cannot take any more sexual assault. "NO" MEANS "NO". Funny how all the "my body, my choice" supporters vanish as soon as a woman decides to bear her child. Damned hypocrites.
