An Early Arrival

To the alarm of many, Kleu appeared shortly after breakfast the following day.

"We thought we had until night!" cried one of the elders.

"I have had a change of heart," Kleu began, and many whispers were shared among the gathered kurach. "It has come to my attention that some of you may unknowingly remember me after all. I do believe most of you dismiss this as 'wanderlust', and banish them from your clans?"

Many of the elders present shifted uneasily and one of the Ferals replied, "It has not been kind to us. It caused a terrible war between us and mankind, many of our families have become lost over the years from it, or brought terrible things back home with them such as diseases. We just want to live in peace."

"It is an innate part of your nature, and you should stop resisting it," Kleu said sternly. "I understand not all of you have this desire any more, and although it pains me to admit it, that includes not wanting to be with me. So, what I propose is this; you satisfy the demands of the guardians by resolving your conflict through these games. No more wars that risk destroying the entire forest or the lands beyond. Secondly, when you have those who wish to roam, you leave them in my care. No more exiles for having a free spirit. I can satisfy them without danger being brought to you. As for any diseases, well, I'm sorry. Illness is a natural part of life that will not go away, so the sooner you learn to treat what is out there when it is time to come your way, the better for you all."

An Early Arrival

Kleu's opinions are his own and do not reflect the opinions of the writer, who would rather recluse away and not get sick at all. =P

I found a song that works well enough as JAD's theme song. Or Shanku's, at any rate.

Sooo... Saturday was the last Thanksgiving meal I had to do, and there were plastic forks put out instead of real forks. In another episode of "Ashe's Strength Fluctuates", I went to get a piece of my pie, but the crust was a bit hard, so I applied just a tiny bit of pressure... and snapped my fork in two. Not one to pass such a golden opportunity when my brain is functioning at a proper pace, I just stared at it, and said, "I forked up this time. Or down, as the case may be." B)

Speaking of which, NaNoWriMo didn't work out that well. November is just way too busy a month for me to attempt to do any kind of creative projects. I did manage to get a couple of chapters done on various JAD stories. I've got a general idea on how Sylvan of the Nyre finishes out and all, it's just the nitty gritty details of actual content I'm struggling with. I'm undecided on how much drawing I'm going to do with the sequel. (Sequal or continuation? Hrm...) A webcomic is definitely out until the kids are older. I can't be a full time mom and housewife with a job or two and try to do comics, uh-uh, no. But I might could continue the illustrated story idea. I kind of like it, to be honest. I'm still getting a surprising amount of readers, so I guess falling off the comic bandwagon isn't so detrimental. A lot of my webcomicker buddies had dreams of being professional comic artists. I always hoped I'd get to be an illustrator instead. In the end, we're both getting to do what we want. I guess that also means JAD isn't going to end in 2019 either. :)

The third book actually has a lot of gears turning in my head over terms of coding and delivery... It's getting me a bit excited. I may go ahead and implement it in Arc 9 and Arc 10, and maybe even retrofit the past illustrated pages with the new layout. We in for some good times, peeps! JAD the webnovel is officially on the way! :D
(Assuming my life doesn't get crazier and more hectic than it is and I end up just glaring woefully at the computer and my pencil as I lament the lack of time necessary for creative expression...)
