Reapers
Dunno if anybody ever reads the random shorts I put out, but as mentioned in Artober 2021 #25: Buddy, each mortal has an angel and demon to guide and tempt them.
I was exploring the idea of Shanku as a guy and how the character design wouldn't change that much, which then expanded to the idea that in JAD land you are your own reaper and how the cast would react to their other half coming to take their place in the next life. Part of the argument for their alternate designs is that they are who they are regardless of gender, but He-Ina just looks silly in a midriff. Ended up scrapping the idea altogether since I had established that JAD souls exist as a single, compact entity and it would be awkward and illogical to have "soul shades" floating around out there as reapers/alternates.
Also, I thought Shanku would make a cute dude!
