Curse of the Dread Serpent

This began as a D&D v3.5 campaign I started in 2008, but never got further than 8 sessions across the two attempts I tried to run it. So, it's getting stuck here as a story following my poor aspiring wizard, Zrähé the gnoll. Trying to dig up copyright/trademark info on gnolls is a bit of a pill, so I'll probably come up with a new name for they hyena-goblin-demon since as a concept hyena monsters are probably as old as the ability for people to tell legends. Frankly, a lot of things will have to be renamed and reworked to avoid legal issues.

This campaign is also the origin of the Kirshani, a race of small lizard-people I made as an aid to the adventurers, the "mer-llama" corrinians, and of course the minocentaur of L'aernth. Arloda Shimmerstone made her debut in this campaign as well.

One thing I learned in my brief stint as a dungeon master is that players don't listen. Éshurna had one main rule: dragons left a long time ago. What did I get? The very first two players made dragonborn. Fourth session went into a tavern and didn't make it back out. Everybody got drunk, trashed the place, and the spellcasters had underwear floating around. In retrospect, this lends credence to my husband's theory that Nephilim were the demi-god descendants of humans and angels who had over-powered capabilities due to their divine blood, became arrogant from their comparitive strength, couldn't handle their special abilities, and were often bullies who sacked the place. Adventures are basically the same way with NPCs.
