Is it just the Feral Sylvan Tribe who feared the Feral Form?
Question
I have a question... Isn't the Feral Form supposedly "cursed"? How did Dakota master his without the Highlands' help? Aren't they the only ones who mastered their Feral Forms? Or, is it just the Feral Sylvan Tribe who feared the Feral Form? Thanks for taking the time to read this!
In a nutshell, yes, many consider it cursed because they have more animal instincts in Feral form and higher levels of adrenaline that make them more aggressive. The others mostly saw this simply as something to overcome, and in the case of the Highland and Arctic was a rite of passage to adulthood by learning self control. The Plains and Islanders are pretty passive and see the Feral form more as a sign they're under too much stress if reached by accident, since it's usually first reached out of anger for most kurach.
The Sylvans relished going Feral, didn't put much thought toward it beyond the strength that came with it, and were prone to picking fights. This in turn was a catalyst to the Great War of 4098 when they got into a long, bloody battle with the first humans who arrived from the east, and afterward they blamed the Feral form for killing half their kind rather than not learning to behave themselves in the first place. So they went from praising it to calling it a curse and banned the use of it.
