An eccentric resident of Wynfall and husband of Iris Birchfield. He is an accountant for a local lending company and tutors children in his spare time. He is terribly prejudiced against kurach and is unaware his step-daughter-in-law is one, much less that his step-grandchildren have kurach blood. Master Woodstock finds it very strange they do not stay in the city year-round and often questions why they go with Dai onto the plains where "those flying demons live".
