Cool, collected, and conniving, Ryoichi spent many years as the "good luck charm" for the Brelland Seacat after a chance meeting that he believed would reward him with a steady supply of fresh fish. He has little taste for the pirate raids and rarely gets his paws dirty in the matter. Ryoichi makes it clear that, like all cats, he is his own master and can leave at any time he wishes should his supply of fish be threatened. Ryoichi is a friend of Turai, mostly to tease him about being a dog and how dog's are inferior to cats.
