Niecely Scolding
Turai gave a low whistle after he was caught up on the Sylvans. "They always were good at getting into trouble."
"And they wonder where we get it from, eh?" Shanku asked devilishly.
"So who is this handsome young fellow?" Turai gestured toward Hilael. "Finally find yourself a mate?"
Shanku growled vehemently and cuffed the back of her uncle's head. "That is Hilael, my younger brother!" She snarled.
"My apologies!" Turai yipped. "You're certainly her granddaughter..." He turned to Hilael and said quietly, "no wonder you don't talk much. These two are dangerous."
This time he was simply met with the fiery glares of his lady kin.
"Speaking of uncontrolled violence," he continued, "what do you suppose they'll do at this mysterious grove?"
"Well, I remember tales of the old days when disputes were settled with games," Misen said matter-of-factually. "It's where our cubs get some of their games and toys."
"Kinda hard to picture a big, bad warrior cuddling with a doll," Shanku snorted.
"Hunters still do. There are races to see who gets to a deer first to see who should most chase in a hunt," Hilael stated.
"On the Seacat we often had wrestling matches and other contests during long times between raids," Turai scratched his chin. "I can see the wisdom in these war games."
"Maybe it'll work," Shanku shrugged.

Niecely Scolding
Shanku's turn to bop him on the head. 
Well. I was right. Three times over, I was right. Four times if you count the one time I tried to consult the cards back in the spring. And you know, depending on your personality type, there will always be regrets. No matter how much you do, there will be regrets. Just make sure the regrets you have are ones you can live with. I hold myself to ridiculously high standards, so I am hardly satisfied with myself, but I did what I could and the regrets left behind will be ones I can begrudgingly live with. And with that being said, I am impressed with how the ones involved have handled things. They did good, given the circumstances and all. I am proud to know them.
I hope the rest of you had a better Independence Day and weekend than I did.
